In order to make the ARCH the best possible place for homeless individuals to find help, we share the building with other social service agencies. Click on the links below, or simply scroll down to find out how to utilize services from other organizations within the ARCH.
Austin Travis County Integral Care (formerly MHMR)
Provides outreach and case management to homeless individuals who have a mental illness, helping them connect to services they need.
Program: Access to Community Care and Effective Services and Support (ACCESS). The ACCESS program reaches out to homeless individuals with mental health issues and offers assistance.

The Austin Advocate Newspaper
The Austin Advocate is a monthly street newspaper providing a place for the homeless population to voice concerns regarding homeless issues, while also providing an opportunity to earn income by receiving donations for the paper.
Another goal of the paper is to provide an outlet for you to express yourself. For instance, the paper includes poetry, a host of jokes, and personal stories of homelessness.

Goodwill Industries of Central Texas:
Offers resources to help individuals with barriers to employment. These barriers include physical and mental disabilities, as well as lack of education and training, chronic homelessness and unemployment, as well as criminal backgrounds.
Program: Job Source Program provides job-related services and job search assistance to homeless individuals with barriers to employment. Your case manager can sign you up for an intake appointment at the Front Desk. There are also walk-in sites that you may go to at:

Texas RioGrande Legal Aid
Texas RioGrande Legal Aid provides free legal services to needy residents of south and west Texas for civil, non-criminal issues.
If you are in need of legal services, please sign up at the ARCH Front Desk on Thursdays at 1:00 pm. Richard Troxell takes appointments Monday through Friday from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. http://www.trla.org/

Veterans Administration (VA)
The VA aims to provide United States veterans with the highest quality service.
Program: Health Care for Homeless Veterans Program provides outreach and case management services to homeless veterans. They also assist with referrals for medical care, mental health care, substance abuse treatment, and housing.

Homeless Health Clinic
The ARCH Clinic is located within the Austin Resource Center for the Homeless in downtown Austin. The ARCH clinic is staffed with a number of very helpful and caring medical personnel committed to caring for this special patient population. The ARCH clinic is open 40 hours a week and provides primary medical care to patients on a walk-in basis, which includes everything from minor cuts and bruises to major diagnoses. Also available are tests for Hepatitis, HIV and TB. Patients may also access services for dental, vision, behavioral health and case management.
The clinic is open Monday through Thursday from 7:00 am to 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm to 5:30 pm.
If you are in need of a MAP card, the MAP screening and enrollment office is located at the clinic case management office within the Salvation Army at 8th and Neches, ground floor level. MAP screening is available Monday through Wednesday beginning at 8:00am and 1:00pm, and at 1:00pm on Thursdays. You can also call the Main MAP office at 512-978-8130 for more information.

Texas Pie Kitchen
The Texas Pie Kitchen is a culinary job training program that trains low-income adults with barriers to employment and equips them with baking and financial self-sufficiency. TPK pies are made by students, low income adults with barriers to employment who participate in a job training program. Their students focus on culinary and baking skills as well as financial literacy skills. http://www.texaspiekitchen.org/

Austin Free Net
Austin Free-Net (AFN) is proud to have a partnership with Front Steps at their ARCH (Austin Resource Center for the Homeless) location in downtown Austin. AFN provides a free public computer lab with five work stations. Free computer classes will also be offered soon to clients at ARCH.
