Austin No Sit / No Lie Ordinance Impacts Homeless [pdf]
In an Austin City Council meeting on March 3, 2011, new changes were adopted relating to Austin’s No Sit/No Lie ordinance.  The ordinance, which targets those sit/lie in public walkways and doorways, particularly in the downtown area, was met with resistance by some homeless advocates, including the non-profit, House the Homeless and an endorsement by others, including the Downtown Austin Alliance.
